Marianne Myers Ballantine, is director of communications and business operations for BER. In this role she administers sales, finances and budgets – all associated with projects that she manages.

Since the 1990s, Marianne has been the contracting officer for BER. Her primary responsibilities

are project management, finance, contract compliance, technology, marketing, and public

relations. She has successfully managed a variety of BER interpretive projects for clients including the National Park Service, Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, county, city, private, and non-profit organizations.

Marianne is a Certified Website Designer, published photographer, and skilled image researcher for interpretive projects. She has broad experience in interpretive guiding, outdoor education, and public/private school administration.

As a 2006 graduate of the Colorado Leading Edge Entrepreneur Training Program, Marianne consults with and mentors small business startups in Colorado, with the Boulder Small Business Development Center.

Todd Ballantine is an environmental scientist and planner, interpretive specialist, writer, artist and musician. In 1980 he created the first of six reclaimed water watershed restoration projects in the U.S. He has designed interpretive facilities and experiences for American public and private lands ranging from National Wildlife Refuges to private preserves. A popular educator and speaker, he presents programs and classes  on sustainability, natural history, wildlife, and innovative conservation solutions. He has facilitated many public meetings on subjects ranging from comprehensive plans to park planning and urban wildlife management. He writes and illustrates interpretive exhibits, trail guides, and books. His best known book is Tideland Treasure, a long-time best seller for University of South Carolina Press. A professional musician, he writes original sound tracks to accompany his educational video programs.

Todd earned a B.A. in Economics (Colorado College, a Master of Science degree from University of England at Oxford, and a Certification in Advanced Montessori Education.
